Program Overview

Ph.D. in Education Program: Learning, Cognition, Instruction, and Development Concentration with Specialization in Mathematics Education

Students of this Ph.D. program will gain the ability to think critically about a wide range of the central theories on learning, conduct high-quality original research, communicate and share research effectively, and teach at the university level.

Ed.M. in Mathematics Education

The Ed.M. in Mathematics Education program at the GSE is designed for students who hold a bachelor’s degree, possess a strong mathematical or technical background, and are interested in advanced study in mathematics learning and teaching.

Ed.M. with Certification in Mathematics Education

The Ed.M. program with (K-12) teacher certification in mathematics education is designed for individuals who possess a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or another technical field and who wish to pursue certification and a master’s degree in education at the same time.

5-Year Program with Certification in Mathematics Education (K-12)

The 5-Year Program with Certification in Mathematics Education (K-12)  stresses the need for students to be familiar with the entire K-16 range of mathematics learners, challenges, and current developments.
