Online Programs at the GSE: Meeting the Needs of 21st Century Educators

This fall the Graduate School of Education (GSE) is continuing to expand its online programs to meet the needs of diverse learners both locally and globally.

The GSE now offers three fully online masters degree programs: Adult and Continuing Education, Language Education, and Learning, Cognition, and Development. The Ed.M. program in Adult and Continuing Education is designed for individuals who wish to develop the knowledge and skills for designing, implementing, assessing, and evaluating learning experiences for adults in formal and informal settings.

The Ed.M. program in Language Education is designed for certified teachers who seek to enhance their instructional skills and knowledge in one of three specializations: bilingual education, English as a second language, or foreign language education

U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Graduate Education Programs recently ranked the GSE’s online graduate programs among the best in the nation.

The GSE also offers Non-Degree Certification Programs for professional licensures in the field of education. The GSE’s most recent additions to the fully online certification offerings are the 21-credit Bilingual/Bicultural program and the 18-credit English as a Second Language (ESL) program. These programs are designed for individuals who possess a New Jersey standard teaching certificate and seek further certification in Bilingual/Bicultural or ESL education.

Additionally the GSE offers a 12-credit program for Supervisors, a 21-credit Endorsement Program for Special Education, and a 9-credit Graduate Certificate in Education Technology.
