GSE Free Faculty Webinar with Steven Barnett on “New Jersey’s System of High-Quality Preschools: A Model for the Nation”

GSE faculty member, Steven Barnett, speaks on the outcomes of public investments in preschool education have been highly variable, with long-term outcomes ranging from modest negative impacts to highly positive impacts. New Jersey created a system of preschool education designed on principles derived from the most successful research models and it appears to have succeeded in substantially replicating their results at scale. The New Jersey approach deserves attention as a model for the nation. In this webinar, Steve Barnett will describe the approach, the research evidence for its success, and the policy issues that must be addressed to expand the approach to all young children in New Jersey and other states across the country.
