Welcome to the GSE: The Student Affairs Committee Orientation Offers Guidance to Incoming Ed.M. and Ph.D. Students

The Rutgers GSE Students Affairs Committee's (G-SAC) first annual Student Orientation joined incoming Masters and Ph.D. students and GSE faculty and senior administration.  Providing new Master’s and Ph.D. students with the opportunity to meet their faculty advisors, the event also offered students a chance to network with fellow degree program participants while learning more about their upcoming experiences at the GSE

Students met their faculty advisors and fellow cohort members during degree program breakout sessions, allowing them to learn more about upcoming coursework, and ask specific questions about their degree program.

Additionally, this year, G-SAC began a new peer-mentoring initiative that paired each incoming Master's and Ph.D. student with an experienced upperclassman who is highly knowledgeable about his/her mentee's degree program and relevant student experiences.
