Rutgers Graduate School of Education Rises to #43 in the 2019 US News & World Report Rankings

(Mar. 20, 2018, New Brunswick, N.J.) – Rutgers Graduate School of Education (GSE) has risen19 positions over three years in the U.S. News & World Report’s rankings and this year ranks as #43 among 385 graduate schools of education in the country. Rutgers GSE shares the 43rd position with graduate schools of education at Penn State University and Purdue University. The GSE is the only school of education in New Jersey to be consistently ranked by US News & World Report.  

“As we celebrate our 95th anniversary, it’s an honor to be ranked among the top 50 graduate schools of education in the nation by U.S. News & World Report,” stated Interim Dean Clark Chinn. “At Rutgers GSE, we are committed to Advancing Excellence and Equity in Education. Our faculty’s scholarship is not only shaping educational policy but also bridging educational theory and practice as we prepare the next generation of education researchers, leaders, and practitioners to develop innovative new approaches to effective teaching and learning.”

The GSE has a strong commitment to research and has been awarded over $9.1 million in competitive funded research. As a component of a Big Ten Research I University, Rutgers GSE is working to address the most pressing challenges facing the field of education today.
