Ranked Among the Nation’s Best

The annual U.S. News & World Report's rankings for graduate schools of education place the Rutgers Graduate School of Education (GSE) among America’s best.

Rutgers GSE ranked number 39 in the country, and ninth in the Northeast.

According to the latest U.S. News & World Report survey of graduate programs, the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education is one of the top graduate programs in the United States. Rutgers GSE was the only graduate education program in New Jersey to be ranked by U.S. News & World Report.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings compare information gathered from more than 13,500 graduate programs, including business, education, engineering, law, and medicine. For rankings of graduate education programs, 356 schools granting doctoral degrees were surveyed in the fall of 2013.

Respondents provided the data upon which the rankings were based. Programs are ranked each year based on both expert opinion and statistical measures regarding the quality of faculty, research, and students.

Recently the GSE's online graduate programs were also ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report's Best Online Graduate Education Programs.

GSE Dean Richard De Lisi expressed satisfaction with the school's rankings. "The GSE is in the top 11 percent of all graduate schools of education in the United States. While this is only one measure of achievement, we are nevertheless proud to see that our programs, faculty, and students are recognized as some of the best nationally."
