Within these frameworks, doctoral students develop and distinguish their voice as educational researchers, and are encouraged to leverage the expertise of our faculty scholars in pursuit of area-specific study. As leading experts in areas such as math education, science education, the learning sciences, early childhood, educational policy, and many more, our faculty challenge students to engage in innovative scholarship while effectively preparing them to influence educational practice and policy in the United States and abroad.
“I chose the GSE for my Ph.D. and Ed.M. due to the personalized faculty mentorship and the strong partnership within and outside of the Rutgers community that allowed me to put theory into practice. The GSE really helped me discover my voice as an educational researcher and challenged me to think about social issues that I would encounter in my work as an educator.”
