How Certification Works

The Rutgers Graduate School of Education offers several five-year programs leading to a bachelor’s degree in conjunction with your undergraduate school, as well as a Master of Education Degree and initial licensure through the New Jersey Department of Education.  We offer programs in the following areas: Elementary with P3, Elementary with Special Ed, Elementary with Subject Specific Middle School Concentration (English, Math, Science and Social Studies), as well as our subject area programs focusing on secondary education: Agriculture, Biology, Dance, English, ESL, Foreign Language, Math, Physics and Social Studies.
