As an Assistant Research Project Coordinator, Charles Whitman provides in-office project support to our research staff, in addition to assisting in training and coordination of fieldwork. Charlie has worked on various projects at NIEER, including studies funded by the NJ Department of Education, such as the Preschool Quality Evaluation Study and the Expansion Study.
Prior to joining NIEER, Charlie has worked as a Behavioral Assistant for the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County wherein he provided direct support to youth with behavioral needs. He has also worked as a substitute teacher at the Acelero Learning Centers. He has volunteered for the past five years at the Hawley Spring Run- A Race Against Suicide. He also volunteered as a Field Worker at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center in the Spring of 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Philosophy from Rutgers University and plans to continue his education to pursue a Masters in Developmental Psychology.
