Policy at the Polls: Higher Education & Public Leadership

Join Dean Span for a student-centered conversation about the essential partnerships between higher education and elected officials.

Together, we will explore how public policy affects access, equity, and research in education and why universities must play a leading role in these discussions. Dean Span looks forward to engaging with students on how best to navigate conversations with policymakers and to develop strategies for building effective collaborations.

With an upcoming gubernatorial election, this is a timely opportunity to reflect on the broader relationship between higher education and public leadership, and to consider how students can help shape the future of education in New Jersey and beyond.
