Dr. Weber receives Rutgers Board of Trustees Award for Excellence in Research

Dr. Keith Weber was selected to receive a Rutgers Board of Trustees Award for Excellence in Research.  Dr. Weber was honored for his contributions to undergraduate mathematics education, particularly his creative research that combines deep mathematical understanding with the tools of cognitive science to analyze and assess the learning and teaching of mathematical proofs.

Established in 1963, this annual award is Rutgers University's highest honor for outstanding research contributions to a discipline or to society by a tenured faculty member.  Dr. Weber is the second GSE faculty member to achieve this honor.

Dr. Weber, along with several other members of the university community, were honored during a May 2 reception at the Rutgers Visitor Center for their outstanding contributions in the classroom, to their disciplines, or for the benefit of the community or world.
