Congratulations to our Graduates!
Rutgers University's Commencement and the Graduate School of Education's Convocation were made particularly special this year in that they shared the spotlight with our graduates' biggest fans – Mothers.
Sunday marked the University's 246th Anniversary Commencement, and the Graduate School of Education's 9th Convocation. Thousands of family and friends celebrated the graduates during the University Commencement Ceremony held at High Point Solutions Stadium on the Rutgers–New Brunswick Campus. Marked by specially-taped video shout-outs for Mothers and with an inspiring speech by Greg Brown, a member of Rutgers University’s Board of Trustees and Board of Overseers, a generous supporter of the University and chief executive officer of Motorola Solutions.
Later in the day, the Graduate School of Education Convocation was held in a packed College Avenue Gym on the College Avenue Campus. Recognizing more than 300 graduates, this year's convocation honored the first graduating class of New Jersey's only Dance Education Ed.M. students. Additionally the event was highlighted by a speech from school counseling Ed.M. graduate David Destro as well as the following special honors paid to Graduate School of Education students, faculty and leaders in the field of education.
