The Camden Coalition recently released the Complex Care Certificate, a suite of nine self-paced courses on the Learning Management System (LMS) Thought Industries. These courses are targeted for early- and mid-career community health workers, nurses, social workers, peers, doctors, and others working in healthcare and social services who support people with complex health and social needs. Over the summer and fall, the Camden Coalition will begin developing a certificate for complex care supervisors and managers based on forthcoming core competencies.

We are looking for an expert consultant to help apply principles and practices of adult learning and improve the accessibility and brevity of the courses in this certificate.

Goals:
– Improve the accessibility and brevity of education materials for audiences with varied formal education backgrounds and/or familiarity with complex care
– Optimize materials, style, and language for adult online learning
– Improve interactive content to promote learning and peer-to-peer exchange

This expert will:
– Review outlines and drafts of courses before they are on the LMS and provide feedback to improve accessibility and to align with online adult education best practices
– Coach several staff members on online adult education best practices and writing for adult learners

We are looking for someone who has:
– Expertise in writing for adult online learning
– Ability to make writing more concise and accessible
– Knowledge of how to convey complex concepts in a brief and simple way through adult learning devices including writing, audio, videos, graphics, activities, etc.
– Coaching or staff development experience

Time and compensation:

The engagement will start late July or early August 2024 and last until December 2024 with the possibility of an extension. During this time, three courses will be developed with an estimate of five hours per course (one hour to review course outline, one hour meeting to discuss course outline, two hours to review course draft, one hour meeting to discuss course draft) for a total of 15 hours. Compensation is $200/hour.
