As a Volunteer at Friendship Circle of Central Jersey, you will play a crucial role in supporting our programs and services. Volunteers help to create a welcoming, supportive environment for individuals with special needs and their families. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of those we serve and help us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Each Volunteer will be paired with a special needs “buddy.”
• Assist buddy with planned recreational activities for the day (music, yoga, game room, etc).
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Engage with individuals with special needs in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Follow the guidance of program coordinators and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
• Participate in training and orientation sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
