Emily Weiss is an Assistant Professor of Evaluation, Statistics and Measurement in the Educational Psychology department at Rutgers University, Graduate School of Education. Her research examines self-regulatory, behavioral, and social-emotional capacities that enable children from diverse backgrounds to thrive in educational settings. She specializes in applications of structural equations modeling, including psychometrics, longitudinal analysis, and mixture modeling, to investigate patterns of individual differences and the proximal and sociocultural contexts that shape children’s development.
