    Qayyum Ogunsanya is a second-year Ph.D. student at Rutgers University focusing on Black Studies in Education. His research sits at the intersection of education, racial capitalism, and empire within the geography of Black New Jersey. Ogunsanya is interested in how modern neoliberal and progressive educational reforms have reassociated the rallying cry of “education for liberation” with “education for social mobility”.
