John Anciano

John is a Rutgers University (New Brunswick grad) and bleeds scarlet. He has spent much of his professional career at Rutgers. Initially from 2002-2005 at the central office of Division of Grant and Contract Accounting (now RFS), moving on to the National Transit Institute within the E. J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy from 2005-2007, and then returning to Rutgers under the School of Arts and Sciences – Division of Life Sciences from 2009-2024. John chose to apply and accept the job at the GSE in July 2024, as the faculty and staff at the School have a reputation for supporting administrative staff. It also presented a unique opportunity to partner his experience and knowledge with a new Dean and a GSE community that were eager to improve efficiencies, operations, workflows, strategies, etc. on all levels (academic, research, and administrative).

    • 2020 Meritorious Award recipient (oldest individual honor given for superior and outstanding work and accomplishments over a period of many years – lifetime achievement award)

    • 2005 E.G. Sless Award recipient (for exceptional service on the chapter level over a long period of years)
