    My research interests involve developing practical strategies for urban music educators to succeed in challenging contexts, designing and implementing better collegiate music education preparation, and promoting equity for music programs in urban districts.  As a practicing educator, I am interested in applying my research by hosting student teachers, mentoring, and teaching at the collegiate level.
