Program Overview

Ph.D. in Education Program: Learning, Cognition, Instruction, and Development Concentration with Specialization in Literacy Education

The Literacy Education specialization within the Learning, Cognition, Instruction, and Development (LCID) concentration prepares students to conduct qualitative and quantitative empirical research to advance the development of literacy theory and its application to practice.

Ed.M. in Literacy Education

The Ed.M. in Literacy Education program at the GSE is designed for certified teachers who currently work in, or wish to work in literacy education at any grade level and seek a comprehensive, empirically motivated understanding of the field.

Non-degree Graduate Certificate in Literacy Instruction

The 12-credit non-degree Graduate Certificate in Literacy Instruction program is designed to allow educators to develop expertise in the teaching of literacy and empower them to optimize literacy learning opportunities for students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
