Watch the GSE Faculty and Staff Congratulate the GSE Class of 2020!

Due to the pandemic, the GSE is unfortunately unable to host our traditional Convocation ceremony. However, we recognize the importance of this significant milestone and to celebrate this important achievement, we are hosting a virtual graduation celebration on Sunday, May 31st at 4 pm.

We will honor the GSE Class of 2020 as individuals and they will be part of a special communal online experience.  We are focused on celebration, the sense of occasion, being with friends and recognizing the unique place of graduates in human history. Our wish is to create a memorable, uplifting moment for the GSE Class of 2020.

Furthermore, when the country is open again, we’ll be inviting the GSE Class of 2020 to an in-person ceremony some time next year when we can gather again – stay tuned for more details. This year, we’re delighted to welcome all graduates and your families to your virtual graduation celebration.

How will you be recognized?  It’s all about the graduates! See how it works in this video.

1)    PERSONAL INVITATION - Graduates will be invited to create a custom slide and record a personal video message for all to see directly by StageClip via email.  We’ll even put you in a virtual cap and gown! Just scan the Snapcode we provide in the invitation.

2)    VIRTUAL CEREMONY on SUNDAY, MAY 31st, 2020 at 4 pm - We’ll take your custom slide and video message and put you in the graduation procession with your fellow classmates. On the big day you’ll see speeches and then the procession.  Invite your friends and family to join!

3)    SHARING YOUR ACHIEVEMENT - Take part in creating your own custom video clip recognizing your achievement.  We’ll ask you to submit a photo, personal message of thanks and fun celebration selfie-video. Everything is incorporated into a 30-45 second video clip, which celebrates your achievement that you can view, share with friends or family on social media and download to keep.

Rutgers is an equal access/equal opportunity institution. If you are in need of a disability related accommodation for this virtual event, please contact the Rutgers Access and Disability Resources office by email at
