JOB DESCRIPTION FOR OPEN HEARTS OPEN DOORS ADVOCATE

Supervised by: Case Manager
Special Education education and experience preferred 
1) Required to make a home visit prior to the camp season to all campers with whom they work.
2) Required to attend one off-site training and two in-camp trainings prior to the camp season.
3) Responsible for care and well-being of all children put under their watch. This may be one-on-one, two-on-one, or in a large group setting (Camp Aaron)
4) Assist in the bus yard until camper arrive and then brings camper to their designated morning area.
5) Attend all activities with campers. Assist camper with any necessary modifications or physical needs.
6) Assist camper to integrate with peers in least restrictive way possible.
7) Report to case manager with any concerns or issues.
8) Communicate daily with parent through communication journal
9) Work with OHOD Senior Staff to come up with any necessary and appropriate behavior modifications.
10) Must get in the pool with campers during swim periods.
