Tutor for 11th Grade Special Needs Student

Wildrick family, Dunellen, NJ

Our seventeen-year-old son is returning home at the end of October after two years in residential treatment centers for Attachment/Trauma issues. He is currently in 11th grade and will be continuing his academic work in a guided distance learning program overseen by his current treatment center, CALO - Change Academy Lake of the Ozarks. CALO is a full-time residential treatment facility specializing in teens with Attachment/Trauma related disorders (www.caloteens.com).

To help our son as he transitions back into life at home, we are seeking an in-home tutor several days a week to help him with his school work, particularly in the area of mathematics. The job would be 2-3 hours/day and will provide valuable experience for a student preparing for a career with emotionally disturbed children.

We are seeking a tutor who has experience with special education, and is interested in hands-on experience working with a child with attachment/trauma issues. The tutor should be willing to work cooperatively with our son's therapeutic team.

To discuss or apply for the position, please email jhwildrick@gmail.com. Include a phone number and the best time to contact you. Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience.
