   Program Description: 
   The Showcase Schools program is designed to recognize, celebrate, and share promising practices across New York City Department of Education schools. Showcase Schools each host three visits where visitors will learn about specific practices, the conditions that contribute to their growth and sustainability, and the story of how they came to be. There are currently 46 schools participating in Showcase for the 2017-2018 school year. More details can be found on our website. 
    
   Responsibilities: 
    
   • Support the project management and implementation of the Showcase Schools program. 
   • Assists with the preparation of and support at Showcase events (e.g. printing, registration, catering, survey collection, set up/clean up, engaging school teams and visitors, etc.). 
   • Compile, draft, or review content and/or communications for internal and external use (e.g. emails to team or external stakeholders, program brochures and newsletters). 
   • Provide office management and operational support for the day to day functions of the team and program (e.g. calendar management, procurement, space, materials, technology, meeting agendas/notes). 
   • Collect, organize, and disseminate data to inform program design and implementation (e.g. event logistics, feedback surveys, visit attendance). 
   • Support in the creation and/or maintenance of knowledge sharing platforms (e.g. internal databases or trackers, Google Drive, Eventbrite, WeTeach). 
   • Engage in team and program professional development and special initiatives. 
    
   Qualifications: 
   • Work and/or volunteer experience in a related field/role 
   • Bachelors or Master’s degree in related field 
    
     
   Minimum Requirements 
   Skills 
   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
   • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
   • Excellent interpersonal skills with education and non-education personnel 
   • Experience and demonstrated success in project planning and management a plus 
   • Strong attention to detail

   • Experience hosting or supporting events (small to large scale events) 
   • Experience tracking, organizing and communicating tasks and/or projects 
   • Ability to travel independently to multiple locations across New York City for half-day or full day events 
    
   Salary: This is a consultant position. Project Associate will earn a daily rate that is competitive and commensurate with experience.
