Program Assistant at Rutgers School of Public Health (formerly UMDNJ-School of Public Health)

Responsibilities: The primary duty of the Program Assistant is to assist with planning, conducting and evaluating the BOLD Initiative, a joint high school program between the LIFE Center (Ladies Professional Golf Association In the Fight to Eradicate breast cancer) at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey and the Center for School and Community-Based Research and Education (CSCBRE), School of Public Health.
 
The program includes a high school curriculum supplement comprising nine lessons (entitled BioCONECT), an online forum used by teachers when implementing the curriculum in the classroom and a summer camp for high school students. Assists with the coordination, implementation and evaluation of BioCONECT trainings for high school teachers and administrators, as well as the BOLD Summer Camps for high school students.
 
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Health Education, Education, Public Health or a related field plus one (1) year of related experience. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Must be adept in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience working with high school students is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is a plus. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
