HEROES Academy for the Gifted has immediate openings for instructors for weekend enrichment programs for 5-15 gifted teens. Classes will be held on Saturdays or Sundays at the HEROES Academy for the Gifted located at 317 George St. The Academy has four classrooms which can accommodate 15 students each including one computer lab and one science lab. Classes normally meet for 1 1/2-2 hours per week for 6-10 weeks. Applicants should submit proposals for academically challenging programs that cover topics not normally covered in a standard school curriculum.

The University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education is hiring a 12 month postdoctoral fellow. Preferred start date is between May and September, 2014. The fellowship, which allows 50% of time to be spent on the fellow’s independent research, includes a salary of $50,000 per year, plus health insurance, and generous funding for conference travel, professional development, and a computer fund.
