Frequently Asked Questions for Degree Programs

Can I transfer in credits? If yes, what and how many?

There are no credits allowed to be transferred into the EdM in literacy since it is a 30 credit program and according to Rutgers University Regulations all degree programs require that 30 credits be taken in the program from which a student graduates be taken at the GSE. You can transfer in up to 6 credits in the reading specialist MA program since that program is 36 credits and only 30 are required to be taken at the GSE. Credits can only be transferred if they match course work we have or as electives, if it is current, if the student received and A or a B, if it is from a school we consider acceptable, if it is not from another degree program taken by the student, or at the discretion of the student's advisor.
