Current Undergraduate Students at Rutgers University
Undergraduates can apply to the dual five-year teacher education program leading to an Ed.M. in Special Education with both Special Education (K-12) and Elementary Education (K-5) certification.
Certified Teachers Interested in a Masters program
The Masters degree program is designed for both certified regular and special educators. Students are prepared to work with students in inclusive settings. The two programs offered are:

Ed.M. in Special Education (This program does NOT include coursework leading to teacher certification in special education)

Ed.M. in Special Education leading to Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) Educational Services Certification
Professionals in the Field of Special Education or Disability Studies
The doctoral program in special education is designed to prepare leadership personnel in special education for administrators of special education services in the schools, and teacher educators at colleges and universities. The Ed.D. in Special Education offers two areas of concentration:
Certified Teachers Looking for Special Education Certification
Students who already hold an initial New Jersey teacher certification can apply for the Non-Degree Special Education Endorsement Program leading to New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification.
